Lakeside Daisy Lakeside Daisy (Colleen "Casey" Taylor & Ruth E. Fiscus) State Nature Preserve - 19 acres This state nature preserve is home to Ohio's rarest wildflower-the bright yellow Lakeside daisy. Main Feature: The only natural U.S. population of Lakeside daisy; also good summer prairie wildflowers. Lakeside Daisy State Nature Preserve encompasses 19 acres of old limestone quarried land on the Marblehead Peninsula of Lake Erie in Ottawa County. This preserve was established to protect the only natural United States population of the Lakeside daisy, a federally threatened plant species which only occurs naturally at a handful of sites. Also a state endangered species, this is one of Ohio's most spectacular wildflowers. In early to mid-May, its bright yellow flowers adorn the otherwise bleak, sun-baked landscape of the Marblehead quarry.

Moving through time and space - Toledo City Paper - October Issue 3 2012

The Labuda and Pond Exhibition will be on display October 8 – November 16, 2012 in the Parkwood Gallery. The public is invited to join us for an artist’s reception for the exhibition on Friday, November 2 from 6 to 8 pm. The bodies of work in this exhibition are unique perspectives of time and movement. Both artists explore space that overlaps a moment to convey something deeper than the place itself.
