This luscious purple velvet coat (1885-1890) features a Medieval-style collar and is covered in hand-embroidered, yellow & green, silk sprays of Sweet Cicely (an English wildflower) - with white felt petals. The gorgeous coat was made at the Oxford Street store of Marshall & Snelgrove, London.
