"A concept vehicle or show vehicle is a car made to showcase new styling and or new technology. They are often shown at motor shows to gauge customer reaction to new and radical designs which may or may not have a chance of being produced." -Wikipedia. Car designers and engineers have a chance at concept car shows to display their creativity and if smart -practicality. the USA is known for its history of big impractical "gas machines" but I've got to admit.. some of these classics and the concept models that preceded them are marvels or works of sculpture, like the: Buick Y-Job (1930s) by designer Harley Earl or the General Motors Le Sabre built by Harley Earl (1951). This collection recognizes some of the odd, interesting and sometimes brilliant car concept ideas we've had to date.
